How to set up and use your scanning device ?

1. Scanner settings


You can scan barcodes to complete your files and/or search for documents. 

To do this, you need to configure this action in your Agoserve application:

- Connect the scanner to your computer

- On Agoserve, go to the "Settings" tab 

- Then "Settings" and "Barcode scanner":



- Click on "Start detection" then scan a barcode (it doesn't matter which one), following this action, a line appears below on the list of barcode readers: your scanner has been set up.

 

- Save on the top.


2. Using the scanner


From a job file or from a New sale (to add parts using the scanner): 

- Go to the "item details" section

- Click on the barcode logo:


The "barcode title" field will be displayed instead of the logo, 

- Place the cursor on the cell and scan your part:


From the item catalogue (to search for an item and query the item record the item record) :

In the "Parts catalogue" (tab from the top banner or via the "Logistics" tab)

- from the search column on the right-hand side of the page :

- click on the barcode logo and the "Barcode reader" field will open: 


-Position your cursor on the "barcode reader" box

- Scan the part:
